For over 10 years now, our shop has been on the ground floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. Throughout this time, our gold filled collections have been hand-finished in a small, but nevertheless purposeful, corner of our Dublin shop. The wooden desk there was a gem of a find - it had once belonged to a silversmith and is still full of his notches and nicks to this day. Over time, we began to feel the need for a second space; one that we could escape to when we had a big order to get out for one of our stockists or when there was a pile of paperwork that needed attending.
"With the support of friends, the press and of course our amazing customers, MoMuse has grown in a way I could never have dreamed of"
Just down the road in an old red brick building, we found a little space above our favourite hairdressers. Up many, many flights of stairs, we set up a small office and stock room. Some ferns and hanging plants from our neighbours at The Garden made the space feel like home. We spent many happy years there before we began to feel the itch again for a bigger space.
This year, we found just the space on the top floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. With its original Georgian windows, tiled floor and high ceilings, it’s just what we’d been dreaming of. In our workshop, old meets new with a selection of antiques and more contemporary pieces we’ve collected over the years. There’s a corner for business (an old three legged mahogany table), a round glass table we gather around for our weekly meetings, a desk for making, lots of storage and a fully glazed wall where we’ve hung the images photographer Eilish McCormick and stylist Aisling Farinella created of our latest collection with Ingrid Hoey.
We’re looking forward to bringing you lots of golden goodness from our new creative space for years to come. Stay tuned!
